Maternal Paternal Greats

Clear as mud, right?  In trying to figure out the best way to explain who all these folks are, I came up with my own system. You may just have to work with me on this one!

I want to introduce you to my Maternal (my mom’s) Paternal (her father’s) grandparents, Marcus L and Gemima Meek Butcher.

Marcus is the son of William and Mary Wells Butcher, born and died in Johnson County, Kentucky.   He married Gemima Meek on the 25th day of October 1874.  Gemima is the daughter of James and Julia Ann Vanhoose Meek. To this union was born 11 children. butcher-marcusmeek-gemima
